About Mike Vega's art journey
My art journey began not so long ago, in 2015. I was inspired by some of my favorite art bloggers. I saw them drawing and immediately wanted to try it myself. It quickly turned into my hobby, and later into something I wanted to connect my life with. Now, looking back at my past, the beginning of my artistic journey looks magical. I didn't have any motivation to start; my family didn't support me in my hobby, but I started drawing anyway, for no reason. And as soon as I started, I got so carried away with it that every time I drew, it felt so amazing. It seemed to me that nothing else existed, just me and my drawing. It was as if I was a cloud floating across a bright calm sky. An unforgettable feeling.For me, art is power. It's always helped me through really difficult times. When I was depressed, the only thing that helped me stay strong was art. When I had no friends and was bullied, art was what made me recognized by others and introduced me to many incredible people along my way. Even now, art still helps me. I had been planning to do freelancing for a while, but the last thing that made me finally do it was my family's problems caused by a terrible financial situation. And now I'm trying to do everything in my power to help all of us. I believe that art can become my strength, which makes everyone happy.
